Frequently Asked Questions<
Is this a hosted retreat?
No — The Crafting Cabin is a non-hosted (unstaffed) rental. You and your group have the full cabin and workroom to yourselves.
Do we need to bring our own food?
Yes, guests are responsible for all meals. The kitchen is fully stocked — new stainless appliances, double ovens, cookware, dishware, and two full-size refrigerators — so you just need to bring the food.
How many people can stay?
The cabin has 9 beds and comfortably fits a group of 10 (with two lucky guests getting a bed to themselves); the workroom has 10 dedicated crafting stations.
What if our group is fewer than 10?
The rate is $2,000/weekend for any group size from 0–10 guests.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes — we have Starlink Wi-Fi, fast and reliable even with the whole group online at once.
What should we bring for crafting?
Whatever your project requires — each station has a table, task light, and cup holder, and we also provide extension cords, an ironing board, and a cutting mat. You'll want to bring your own machines, tools, and supplies beyond that.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
No, not anywhere on the property.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, out of respect for the peaceful setting (and your fellow guests' sleep).
Are pets allowed?
As much as we love furry friends, pets need to stay home for this one.
Can kids come?
The Crafting Cabin is designed as an adult getaway, so we ask that children stay home too.
What's the cancellation policy?
The full rental fee is due 2 months before check-in. Cancel before that date and you'll get a full refund; cancel within 2 months and the rental fee is only refundable if we're able to re-book your weekend. The $250 security/damage deposit is non-refundable if you cancel within 2 months of check-in, even if the weekend gets re-booked.
How much parking is available?
Enough for up to 8 vehicles.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes — a $250 security/damage deposit is required in addition to the rental fee to confirm your reservation. It's refunded within 30 days of your stay as long as there's no damage, unless you choose to roll it over to book the same weekend next year.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 10:00 AM Thursday (or Wednesday if you've added and paid for the Wednesday night add-on); check-out is 5:00 PM Sunday.
Can we book the same weekend every year?
Yes! Just let us know you'd like to roll your security deposit over, and we'll hold your deposit toward the same weekend the following year instead of refunding it.
How far is the nearest grocery store?
Divide is just 7 miles away, and Woodland Park (with more grocery options) is 13 miles — easy to grab anything you forgot or stock up on the way in.
Is the cabin accessible for guests with mobility needs?
There are 3 steps inside the cabin (between the main floor and the back door) and 3 small steps outside between the cabin and the craft room. If stairs are a concern for anyone in your group, please contact us before booking so we can help you plan.
Is there cell service?
Yes — most major carriers offer great coverage in the area.
