Our Story
The Crafting Cabin started with a simple idea: what if a getaway with your friends didn't mean choosing between relaxing and being creative? What if you could have both?
I've been a scrapbooker since I was 18 years old. My former mother-in-law used to sell Stampin' Up, and that was really the beginning of the end — the "just one more pack of cardstock" obsession has never let up since. Crafting has always been my calm in the middle of a stressful career and an even busier life, and time away with my girlfriends, hands busy and hearts full, is my favorite kind of therapy.
For many, many years, I dreamed of hosting a craft retreat of our own. As a real estate agent, I had a good excuse to go "just look" at properties every chance I got — and my poor husband, Joe, got dragged along to the mountains most weekends, humoring me. Then one day, a photo on the MLS stopped me mid-scroll: the most adorable little cabin, quirky and mismatched in the best way, with curb appeal that had me hooked before I even saw the inside.
We toured it, and it was like the house had been waiting for us. A space perfect for a workroom. Room to sleep a full group. Four bathrooms. A spot made for one big dining table where everyone could gather. Everything just... came together.
And here we are. This cabin is so special to us, and we can't wait to share it with you and your crew.
